Furthermore, they called upon female delegates from the 33 constituencies in the region to rally behind Dr Bawumia at the NPP presidential primary, ensuring his success in leading the party to victory in the 2024 general election.

One of the significant reasons behind the group’s support for Dr Bawumia lies in his dedication to breaking gender barriers and empowering women within the political sphere. Maame Esi highlighted that Dr Bawumia holds the firm belief in the capabilities of women to excel in leadership positions, thus motivating their endorsement.

Hosting the event, Michael Okyere Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency, urged all NPP women to act as campaign ambassadors within their respective constituencies. He emphasized the need for mobilizing the necessary votes for Dr Bawumia’s triumph in the upcoming presidential primary and subsequent victory in the general election next year.

All in all, the formation of the Women Delegates for Bawumia marks a significant step in solidifying support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s candidacy within the NPP. Their dedication to his leadership, coupled with the belief in women’s potential, amplifies their determination to break barriers and contribute to the governance of Ghana.
